Former “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel is organizing donations for victims of the deadly Florida condo collapse.
Frankel, through her disaster relief charity BStrong, has partnered with non-profit Global Empowerment Mission to distribute cash cards and basic necessity kits to people who were displaced after Thursday morning’s partial collapse of a beachfront condo in Surfside, Fox News first reported.
“Today, in partnership with @globalempowermentmission, BStrong is distributing $500-$1000 each in cash cards directly to displaced residents in need from the tragic collapse of Champlain Towers in Surfside, Florida,” the 50-year-old reality tv personality said on Instagram.
“We’re also supplying the Shul of Bal Harbour and other local community centers our BStrong Family Necessities Kits for the entire community affected.”
“The BStrong warehouse is in Miami and stocked with survival kits, lumber, medical, pet, baby supplies food, blankets and relief aid to support victims after this tragedy,” the post continued.
The Skinny Girl brand mogul added that “100 % of your donation will go toward cash cards to be distributed directly to the victims and their families to give them the liberation and dignity that they need and deserve to rebuild.”
She said BStrong has been on the ground meeting with families and working with city officials.
“Please help. we can make a difference,” she said in the post. “You can be part of the change in the world. Xo and thank you,” she concluded including a link to the BStrong website.
On Thursday, the Miami Heat and the Marlins delivered food, water and basic essentials to rescue workers and displaced residents of the 12-story Champlain Towers South Condo.
The death toll for the incident has risen to four, while there are 159 people still unaccounted for.
