British Open leaderboard 2021: Live golf scores, results from Thursday's Round 1

The fourth and final major on the 2021 golf calendar has arrived.

The British Open, canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is back from its yearlong hiatus to bring a close to an eventful major season. This year, The Open Championship takes place at the famed Royal St. George’s Golf Club located near the shores of South East England.

Jon Rahm’s torrid play during majors in 2021 has made him the heavy favorite (+700) to win the Claret Jug. The Spaniard won the U.S. Open last month, his first major championship, to follow a T8 finish in the PGA Championship and his T5 at the Masters. Jordan Spieth (+1400), Rory McIlroy (+1400), Dustin Johnson (+1800) and Xander Schauffele (+1800) round out the top five. Shane Lowry, the 2019 British Open winner, is listed at +4000.
