Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone’s season 4 Reloaded update

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone’s mid-season update will include new weapons, new multiplayer maps, and a new spot to survive the undead hordes of Zombies mode. The patch still isn’t due for another day, but on Monday Treyarch gave fans a preview of the new update.

The highlight of the season 4 Reloaded patch is Mauer Der Toten, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s newest round-based Zombies map. The new map is set in a sprawling block of Berlin and will feature everything from rooftops to U-Bahn trains. Mauer Der Toten will also introduce a few new enemies, a new Wonder Weapon with four unique variants, and plenty more secrets and Easter eggs for players to discover.

As for Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer, the new midseason update will include Rush, a remastered version of Black Ops 2’s classic paintball-themed map. Rush will be 6v6 and Treyarch is also bringing in the Paintball Mosh pit game mode to celebrate. Capture the Flag will also be making its way to the game this season as well.

Season 4 Reloaded will also include two new weapons, which will make their way to both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. The first new weapon will be the OTs 9 submachine gun, which will be available as soon as the new season launches. The OTs 9 has high fire rate and high damage, but it’s only effective at close range. The second weapon will be the melee mace which will come out sometime during the season.

Warzone will also get a new mode called Payload as part of the midseason update. Payload will be Warzone’s first fully objective-based mode. Here’s Treyarch’s description:

Inspired by previous traditional Call of Duty game modes like Call of Duty: WWII’s War Mode, Payload pits two teams of 20 players against each other in a race against time for crucial intel, as these vehicles carry satellite parts that could help shift the balance of the war between Perseus and NATO.

If the attacking team escorts all vehicles across all Checkpoints within the time limit, they win the match. The defending team can not only pick attackers off the payload vehicles to slow them down, but also buy and build obstacles to stall these vehicles on the tracks.

This all happens as Operators are dropping in constantly with their own custom loadouts, searching for items across Verdansk like Cash and Killstreaks to aid their team in escorting or stopping the Payloads.

The season 4 Reloaded update will be available for Black Ops Cold War starting on July 14 at midnight and Warzone at midnight on July 15.
