Clint Frazier is set to begin some workouts down in Tampa within the next day or two, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said during his pregame news conference on Sunday.

“He’s back, he’s actually going to probably head to Tampa I think today or tomorrow and start his…see where he’s at baseball-wise,” Boone said. “Getting at-bats, making sure his legs are under him and then probably soon, very soon thereafter start a potential rehab assignment.”

Frazier’s been out of the Yankees lineup since early July with vision issues, and underwent “a battery of neurological testing” Boone said earlier this week.

He initially went on the IL with vertigo, but things changed to be more eye/vision related soon after.

The righty had been having a rough season up until he went out, slashing just .186/.317/.317 at the plate, while also having some trouble at times in the outfield.

The Yankees have a crowded outfield now with the addition of Joey Gallo happening during Frazier’s absence, so it’ll be interesting to see how they try and integrate him back into the lineup once he’s ready.
