Harry Kane’s extra-time goal sends England into Euro 2020 final

The Three Lions are one step away from glory.

Harry Kane’s extra-time goal sent England through to the Euro 2020 final, defeating Denmark 2-1 Wednesday in the semifinals at a raucous Wembley Stadium in London. England will play Italy in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday at Wembley.

This marks the first time ever England has reached the Euro final, and it’s their first major tournament final since the 1966 World Cup.

The 27-year-old England captain scored the decisive goal in the 104th minute, smashing his own rebound after having his penalty kick saved by Kasper Schmeichel. Raheem Sterling drew the penalty that was upheld after review.

Kane has four goals in Euro 2020, all in the last three matches. The Tottenham striker now has 10 career goals in major tournaments, tying Gary Lineker for most in team history.
