The Braves are dealing with a major injury concern just before the All-Star break.
Right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. exited their second-to-last game before the break with a right knee injury. The 23-year-old Acuna had to be carted off after suffering the injury, which occurred when he tried to make a play on a ball hit to the warning track in right.
Acuna is one of the Braves’ best players and had slashed .281/.392/.593 with 24 homers for the season before Saturday’s game. Atlanta moved to 44-44 with a win Saturday as it tried to keep pace with the Mets in the National League East.

How long will Ronald Acuna Jr. be out?
It’s unclear at the moment how long Acuna will be out. The Braves didn’t provide an update during the game and manager Brian Snitker didn’t provide much new information after it.

What is Ronald Acuna Jr.’s injury?
Acuna is dealing with a knee injury, but the specifics are not yet known. He grabbed his right knee after he landed on the warning track while chasing a fly ball to the right-field wall. He couldn’t put much weight on his leg as he tried to exit the field.
Acuna has already dealt with ankle, abdomen and back injuries this season, but he appeared in 82 of Atlanta’s first 88 games before leaving Saturday’s contest.

He tried to track down a drive to the right-field wall by Miami’s Jazz Chisholm but the ball sailed over his outstretched glove. He came down hard on the warning track and crashed into the wall after missing the ball. He didn’t get up.

Acuna eventually tried to walk off under his own power, but he couldn’t. He had to be carted to the dugout before Braves staffers helped him back into the clubhouse. Acuna was visibly upset during the ordeal.
