Mini Motorways, a chill game about traffic management, comes to PC

Mini Motorways, the sequel to Mini Metro, is now available on Steam after it originally launched as an exclusive on Apple Arcade in 2019. In Mini Motorways, the player is tasked with setting up their own little cities. Automated civilians build their own houses and little car parks, and the player has to be the civic planner who links it all together. Ideally, they achieve this by creating an efficient little system of roads and paths to connect the city. However, nothing is stopping anyone from building a nightmare city in which every road is as ridiculous as possible.

Mini Motorways is an excellent chill-out game, and there’s enough variety to keep things interesting. Players can choose between different cities: Los Angeles, Beijing, Tokyo, Dar es Salaam, Moscow, and Munich. The game is colorful and minimalistic enough to have a very Zen garden feeling to it.

If you have an iOS phone, it might be worth giving Mini Motorways a look on there, because the Apple Arcade version is receiving an update called Round Trip. This allows players to access two new maps — Dubai and Mexico City — as well as the ability to create roundabouts for extra-powerful road management.
