Ronald Acuna Jr. suffered a right knee injury in the Braves’ Saturday afternoon game against the Marlins in Miami.
Acuna was tracking a drive to deep right field by the Marlins’ Jazz Chisholm. He leaped but couldn’t make the catch. The ball went just over Acuna’s outstretched glove and hit off the base of the wall.

Acuna came down and crashed into the wall, and then couldn’t get up.
The outfielder tried to leave the field under his own power but couldn’t. He went back down to the turf and was eventually carted to the dugout and carried into the locker room by Atlanta staffers. He was visibly upset.
The injury doesn’t look good for the 23-year-old Acuna, who was named to his second All-Star team this week. The Braves had not provided an update on his condition as of this writing.
MLB Twitter is certainly worried about Acuna. It took time to send him well wishes after his injury.

Hopefully Ronald Acuña’s injury isn’t as bad as it looked. Just a couple weeks ago it looks like Giannis destroyed his knee and he’s playing in the NBA Finals.

Acuna entered Saturday with a .284/.392/.593 slash line and 24 home runs. Abraham Almonte replaced him in right field after the injury.
