Driving a car is OK, I guess, but it’s not a very “gamer” activity. Thankfully, Google’s navigation app Waze has a newly announced feature that will allow drivers to activate a Halo theme. Drivers can pick between either the Banished War Chief Escharum or my boy Master Chief, who will offer gruff navigation guidance and color commentary.
This limited-time feature promotes the upcoming Halo Infinite, which is currently planned for a holiday 2021 release on Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Not only will the tones of Master Chief or Escharum guide you along roads, but drivers can also change their in-app car icon to a Warthog or Ghost, and apply one of the two characters to their profile. You can also have Master Chief update you in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

Master Chief is one of the icons of the Xbox, which means he’s a common choice for cross promotion. He also reared his head in Sea of Thieves as a ship figurehead in the Spartan set, and showed up in Fortnite.
