At least one person was killed and five wounded during an attempted armed robbery at a multimillion-dollar Hollywood Hills home Friday, according to reports.
Witnesses told TMZ they heard about 10 gunshots fired by three gunmen who drove up to the home in the city’s exclusive West Hollywood section at about 2 a.m., wounding a security guard who told cops he was an off-duty LAPD officer.
Responding cops found the guard — whose LAPD employment could not be immediately confirmed, according to the report — under a Range Rover at a nearby house. He was shot in the stomach and rushed to a hospital, TMZ reported.
The robbery suspects who drove up to the upscale home in an Audi then drove off with a flat tire after the guard returned fire.
They were then located just outside Beverly Hills.
One suspect was found dead inside the car, while another was wounded and in critical condition. A third suspect was not hurt, TMZ reported.
KTLA reported that three victims were wounded as the suspects tried to hold them up outside the party. One victim was in critical condition, while two others were stable, the station reported.
The three victims were working security for a client at a nearby home, KTLA reported. Several high-end vehicles were seen outside the residence early Friday.
An LAPD spokeswoman told The Post she couldn’t immediately confirm how many victims were shot, but said two suspects, who were found wounded, were taken into custody following the gunfire. A third was found dead inside the vehicle, she said.
Video shows several ambulances and police vehicles responding to the neighborhood, as well as the Audi, which had a flat tire and an open trunk as a horn blared.
