President Biden Says Governor Cuomo Should Resign From Office Following New Sexual Harassment Allegations

Roommates, during a recent press conference at the White House, President Biden stated that due to new developments in his sexual harassment investigation, Governor Andrew Cuomo should resign from office. Biden’s statement comes as more political figures are coming forward and speaking out regarding Governor Cuomo’s political future in New York.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is currently in the center of a shocking scandal, as a new investigation has uncovered that he allegedly sexually harassed 11 women during his terms in office. As the news began to spread, various political figures gave their opinions on the matter with many agreeing that he should resign from office—and that sentiment has also now been shared by President Joe Biden.

When asked by a reporter if he would stand by his earlier statement that Cuomo should resign once the investigation was over, Biden quickly said “I think he should resign.”

He was then further pressed about his feelings regarding Cuomo potentially being impeached, but declined to comment on that aspect. However, he did state that he was sure some of Cuomo’s embraces of women were “totally innocent” as the governor has claimed. “But apparently, the attorney general decided there were things that weren’t,” he added.

President Biden and Governor Andrew Cuomo have had a long political relationship with each other—and Biden’s statement agreeing with Cuomo’s proposed resignation is likely a devastating blow. Cuomo is currently serving his third term as governor and is up for reelection in 2022.
