Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow Is Certified Fresh On Rotten Tomatoes

The critics have approved of the film!


Scarlett Johansson’s latest Marvel Studios film, Black Widow, has now officially been certified fresh on the review aggregator site, Rotten Tomatoes.

The road to Scarlett Johansson’s solo Black Widow film has been a long one and it’s finally coming to a close. Between behind-the-scenes arguments between the people behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe and delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Black Widow certainly had a lot keeping it from being released. Something that should surprise no one, however, is that critics really seem to like the upcoming film.

Since the release of the first Iron Man film, just about every installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been well received by critics. Not all of them have been certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes but many have and that list now includes Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. The film currently has an 84% approval rating on the review aggregator site based on 142 reviews with 119 of them being positive based on the site’s standards.

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Eric Pearson based on a story by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, the Marvel film stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, Olivier Richters, and Rachel Weisz.
