Emilia Clarke is weary of sharing details regarding her role in Marvel’s new series Secret Invasion.
The Game of Thrones actress is the latest alum from the blockbuster HBO series to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, joining the likes of co-stars Peter Dinklage, Richard Madden and Kit Harrington among others. Emilia Clarke was cast in Secret Invasion back in April, and details regarding her role remain under wraps, and it sure sounds like she’s scared to reveal anything about it.
In an appearance on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Emilia Clarke revealed just how secretive Marvel Studios is when it comes to their new projects in development. And when it comes to the aptly titled Secret Invasion, the new series is no different when it comes to intense secrecy:
“The first people I spoke to with Marvel after getting the role was their security team… I actually live in fear that something is going to happen, and I’m going to say something, and they’ll get upset… But, I play a character that I’m super into everything about it.”

Marvel’s Secret Invasion will star Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. It will also feature Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo.
Here is the official synopsis for Marvel Studios’ newest series on Disney Plus, Loki:
“Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.”
Directed by Kate Herron with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Loki will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus starting June 9.
