Teen slapped in face by a seagull on 75 mph Sling Shot ride

Kiley Holman was celebrating her bestie’s birthday when an uninvited guest smacked her right in the face.

Holman, 13, got more than she bargained for when she hopped on the classic Sling Shot ride with her friend Georgia Reed, 14, at Wildwood, NJ’s Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Water Park.

She was skyrocketed into the air at 75 mph — and came face to face with a speeding seagull.

The resulting video, originally posted online on July 13 but going viral Thursday morning, captured the unbelievable moment the bird bopped into Holman’s unsuspecting face as she was catapulted into the sky.

Birthday girl Reed appeared blissfully oblivious as Holman peeled the beach bird off her face and neck, tossing the animal to the side to set it free.

“I knew there was no going back and it was just going to hit me,” Kiley told Fox News. “I didn’t know what to do so I wait for it to spin over. I just grabbed it and threw it off me quick.”

Meanwhile, the other teen’s mother, Arena Reed, said she didn’t realize what had happened until the ride had finished: “I saw the wings fall from the vehicle, but at first I thought they were tickets,” she said, according to the Daily Mail.

The seagull appeared to be uninjured and flapped away, only leaving a few feathers and one disgruntled teen — who also suffered no injuries — behind.

Holman told her local TV news outlet she has no plans to ride the Sling Shot again.
