The Demon Slayer movie will stream exclusively on Funimation

The Demon Slayer movie will soon be available to stream, but only through Funimation. The company announced on Thursday that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train will be available to stream on its website or various apps starting on June 22.

Funimation will have both the dubbed and subbed versions of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. Funimation has a free ad-supported option, but it’s unclear if the Demon Slayer movie will be available for users with free accounts. Funimation also offers a premium option ($5.99 a month), which includes the entire library and no ads, or a premium plus ($7.99 a month) option that includes a few extra benefits. The movie will be exclusive to the service in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train picks up the story of Demon Slayer shortly after the first season ends, and adapts an entire arc from the original manga. The movie enjoyed critical success and unprecedented box office returns in the United States, despite being released in early 2021 when many theaters were still closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even with limited theaters, the movie still managed to break box office records and become the second-highest grossing anime movie of all time.

For viewers that would rather own the movie than stream it, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train will also be available on VOD starting on June 22, the same day it’s available on Funimation.
