The Olympic events to watch on Saturday, July 24: Soccer, gymnastics

After a tumultuous road to Tokyo, Saturday, July 23 will mark the official Day 1 of the 2020 Olympics, which will include many fan-favorite competitions, as well as many first-time events.

Due to the 13-hour time difference between the East Coast of the United States and Japan, there will be a mixture of live events and recordings that will play throughout the day.

If you miss an event, they can be streamed at Peacock, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports App. fuboTV will also air the action.

Archery — in which competitors use a recurve bow to shoot arrows at a target 70 meters away – has five gold medals up for grabs, including a new team mixed event. South Korea swept the gold medals in Rio, winning in men’s and women’s individual and team events.

Nyjah Huston, a 26-year-old, 12-time X Games winner and the highest-paid skateboarder in the world, is the favorite to win gold for the United States.
