Timothée Chalamet goes nude ‘The French Dispatch’ scene

He’s naked — save for a towel wrapped around his head.

Following its Monday debut at the Cannes Film Festival, Searchlight Pictures has released a new teaser clip of Wes Anderson’s upcoming movie, “The French Dispatch,” on YouTube

In the demurely explicit scene, a fully clothed Frances McDormand goes to fix her makeup when she realizes she’s not alone in the bathroom. Pulling back the shower curtain, she reveals a nude Timothée Chalamet taking a bath and working on his manifesto.

“I’m naked,” he tells her bluntly in the black-and-white video.

“I can see that,” she responds.

When he asks her to proofread his manifesto, she declares it damp — both physically and metaphorically.

The film has been widely referred to as Anderson’s love letter to journalism and was met with rapturous reviews at Cannes, where it received a nine-minute standing ovation.

Despite his apparent infatuation with the fourth estate, however, Anderson declined to hold the traditional press conference with his cast at the event, or give any interviews to the reporters who were present, Variety reported

“I hope we come back with another one soon,” he briefly told the crowd after the screening, according to Variety. “Thank you.”
