Viral Video Captures Flames On The Gulf Of Mexico Waters After A Gas Pipeline Ruptured

Roommates, some things you have to see to believe! On Friday, an undersea gas pipeline ruptured in the Gulf of Mexico. According to The Washington Post, the pipeline is property of Mexico’s state-owned oil company called Pemex. There are no reported injuries or deaths and the rupture actually took place about 150 yards from the drilling platform.

The now-viral video shows flames boiling to the surface of the ocean! With the help of fire control boats, the blaze was snuffed out after five hours of efforts. A Mexican official revealed that no oil spill occurred from the rupture, but was unable to explain what was on fire, according to TMZ.
