WandaVision nabbed four nominations while The Mandalorian received one.
Disney Plus managed to nab 5 2021 Television Critics Association nominations thanks to WandaVision and The Mandalorian.
After grabbing over two dozen nominations at this year’s Emmys, Disney Plus’ offerings are getting further praise thanks to the Television Critics Association. The Television Critics Association has a streamlined slew of awards; 11 to be exact. This year, Ted Lasso led the pack with 5 nominations. Not far behind was Marvel’s WandaVision, which managed to nab four nominations. WandaVision has a similarly positive showing for Emmy nominations, racking up 23. Disney Plus’ Star Wars offering The Mandalorian received one nomination – not too bad for an awards association that primarily nominated non-genre fare.
The Television Critics Association nominated WandaVision for Outstanding New Program, Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries or Specials, and Program of the Year, as well as Individual Achievement in Drama for star Elizabeth Olsen. The Mandalorian is nominated for the coveted Outstanding Achievement in Drama, an award even WandaVision wasn’t nominated for.
