Western Kentucky Football – Hilltoppers Predicted to Finish Third in Conference USA East Division

After putting together a 5-7 season in 2020, Western Kentucky has been picked to finish third in the Conference USA East Division coming into the 2021 campaign, the league announced Monday.

The Hilltoppers – who received one first-place vote – were picked to finish third behind Marshall and Florida Atlantic, two teams WKU suffered losses to last year. Charlotte, Middle Tennessee, Florida International and Old Dominion rounded out the East Division predicted order of finish.

In the West Division, defending champion UAB was picked to finish No. 1, with UTSA coming in second and Louisiana Tech third. Southern Miss, Rice, North Texas and UTEP rounded out the division’s predicted order of finish.

WKU kicks off its 2021 season on Thursday, Sept. 2 vs. FCS program Tennessee-Martin at Houchens-Smith Stadium.
