Wild Louisiana road rage shooting caught on video

Shocking surveillance video captured the moment an armed man got out of a car and opened fire on a pickup truck in a quiet Louisiana neighborhood during a wild road rage incident.

The footage from the city of Slidell shows a gray sedan pull over in a residential neighborhood, then a passenger get out and fire off a few rounds at the truck, which is seen barrelling into several yards before striking a one-story home, WVUE-TV said.

Police said several shots hit the truck but no injuries were reported in the incident on Wednesday, the station said.

The two vehicles had been involved in a road rage incident near Highway 11, police said.

Cops later tracked down Kendell Matthews, 21, and charged him with attempted second-degree murder in the incident.

“We will not tolerate this kind of careless and inexcusable behavior in Slidell,” city Police Chief Randy Fandal said in a statement.

Police said that there were no injuries in the shooting.

“We immediately deployed a vast number of officers to search for the suspect,” the chief said. “Within a couple of hours, we located the suspect’s vehicle and made an arrest.

“Let this serve as another message that we will be relentless on (sic) solving and preventing violent crime in our community,” Fandal said.

Slidell is about 30 miles north of New Orleans.
