Woman accused of hiring four teens to kill ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend

A Louisiana woman allegedly recruited a crew of teenage boys to whack her ex-girlfriend’s new beau — but the plot failed after one of the would-be hitmen bailed, authorities said.

Mykia Tyson, 20, and the four boys she is said to have solicited, were all arrested this month in connection with the botched murder-for-hire scheme, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives said that Tyson — after finding out her ex was dating someone new — enlisted 19-year-old Delester Magee and three minors to kill the man, local station WAFB reported.

She allegedly drove the squad to the boyfriend’s house in Lacombe on June 5 to carry out the murder.

But at the last moment, Magee apparently decided not to follow through with the plan — and intentionally missed the target, firing multiple shots at the home instead, the report said.

No one was injured, “but this could have very easily not been the case,” Sheriff Randy Smith told the outlet.

Tyson was hit with a slew of charges, including solicitation for murder and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

Magee has been charged with aggravated criminal damage to property, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and criminal conspiracy.

The three others, a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds, were not named by authorities because they are underage. They were each arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated criminal damage, and released via a custodial agreement.
