Gerrit Cole and Aroldis Chapman will represent the Yankees in Denver for the All Star Game.
It is Cole’s fourth All-Star nod, and his third in four seasons (there was no All Star Game in 2020). Cole leads the Yankees with a 2.91 ERA this season.
For the closer, it will be his seventh trip to the All Star Game. It is also his third nod in four years. Chapman has notably struggled of late, as his ERA has skyrocketed from 0.00 to 4.71 in his last 14 games. But he did not allow a run in his first 18 appearances.
The game will take place on July 13.
