New York’s COVID-19 positivity rate marked the 22nd consecutive day of hitting a record low, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Saturday.
The rate sunk to 0.39 percent Friday when measured on a seven-day average, Cuomo said. Of the 107,751 test results reported Friday, 418 were positive.
The number of people hospitalized with the bug stood at 532 Friday with nine New Yorkers dying of the virus including five residents of the Big Apple.
Cuomo, citing federal statistics, said 70.7 percent of New Yorkers age 18 and older have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 62.8 percent have completed the vaccine series.
As of late Saturday morning, the state had given out 63,095 vaccine doses in the previous 24 hours.
