Broadway’s Aaron Tveit sells NYC pad for less than he paid

Broadway star and singer Aaron Tveit is in the unique position of being the only person nominated for a Tony for best leading actor in a musical, for his starring role in “Moulin Rouge!” He’s also in contract to sell his Astoria penthouse — at a loss.

Tveit bought the unit for $900,000 in 2016. Its last asking price was $875,000.

But while Broadway went dark during the pandemic, Tveit was able to spend three months in Vancouver, where he filmed “Schmigadoon!,” an upcoming Apple TV show, along with Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming and Jane Krakowski.

The show is about a couple who get lost while hiking and end up trapped in a magical town stuck in a 1940s musical.
