Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Black Adam’ Enters Final Week Of Production

Black Adam hits cinemas next year!

Dwayne Johnson’s DC film Black Adam has entered its final week of production.

DC first announced Black Adam in 2014, with Dwayne Johnson shortly joining the cast after. It has been a whopping 7 years but the film is finally in its final leg of production, with a summer release date for 2022. Details are relatively slim on the DC anti-hero’s first film but it has been confirmed that key members from the Justice Society of America will be making their debut as well. Characters to look out for include Hawkman, Atom Smasher, and Doctor Fate.

Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to mark the special moment of only having one week of production left, sharing a photo of himself in Black Adam leggings, likely after an intense workout session. Johnson’s caption details the amount of hard work that went into getting fit for the role, as well as teasing the character, stating that “The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change.” While the film may be wrapping up production relatively soon, post-production is a whole other beast for a film of this caliber. It’s possible that we’ll see our first look at Johnson in the role during this fall’s DC Fandome, but for now, we’ll just have to stick to the actor’s Instagram posts.

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, the film stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles.

Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing the Black Adam movie with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon serves as an executive producer.

The DC project is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 29, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming film and be sure to subscribe to Stock Market Pioneer’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
