On Sunday, England fans will be hoping that “football’s coming home” as London’s Wembley Stadium hosts the 2020 Euro final (3 p.m. ET on ESPN).
For Italy fans, they’ll be hoping their beloved Azzurri can become just the fourth nation with multiple UEFA European Championships, joining Germany (3), Spain (3) and France (2). Italy won the competition in 1968, and were runners-up in 2000 and 2012.
Coach Gareth Southgate’s squad is looking to erase decades of frustration for what had been an underachieving England that hasn’t won a major competition since the 1966 World Cup, which England hosted. Before the 2020 Euro, England’s best finish in the Euros was third place, done twice (1968 and 1996).
Despite failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup (joining other notables such as the Netherlands and the U.S. to miss out), Italy is experiencing a rapid resurgence under manager Roberto Mancini. With the semifinal win over Spain, Italy extended a national-record unbeaten streak to 33 matches, an incredible run that dates back to September 2018.

The UEFA European Championship final will be broadcast on ESPN, with games available to be streamed live on ESPN+. Spanish-language broadcasts will be available on Univision and TUDN. Games also available on fuboTV.
