Margot Robbie On Harley Quinn’s Weapons In The Suicide Squad

Margot Robbie opened up about Harley Quinn’s journey in The Suicide Squad.

Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn has been on one hell of a ride in the DC Extended Universe. From the first Suicide Squad to Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, Robbie has definitely made the DC Comics character her own. Now that the James Gunn-helmed The Suicide Squad is on its way, we will finally find out what the character is up to next.

Although The Suicide Squad is a month away, we’ve been cleared to give you some juicy new details on Harley Quinn’s wardrobe as well as her arsenal in the pseudo-sequel. While on set of the film back in 2019, Margot Robbie approached us in full Harley Quinn makeup and costume and told us a little about her role in the film. “Harley’s been through some things as you can see by this point in film. It started off as like a very glamorous gown and here we are … I think we are down to like three versions of the dress,” Robbie revealed. “We’re trying to work it into a mood where we rip off one bit to do some cool fight shit with it.”

If you were wondering if Harley would wield her signature baseball bat in The Suicide Squad, we’ve got some bad news for you. The actress revealed that the bat wouldn’t be in the film, but also mentioned something interesting. “My baseball bat is next to my bed back in LA.” Robbie told reporters on set. “I’ve got other weapons in this one. Many, many weapons, mainly one actually.”

What kind of weapons do you want Harley Quinn to wield in The Suicide Squad? Are you excited to see Margot Robbie return in the role? Drop your thoughts in the comments section below!

Welcome to hell—a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. Trekking through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn, the Squad is on a search-and-destroy mission, with only Colonel Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave…and Amanda Waller’s government techies in their ears, tracking their every movement. And as always, one wrong move and they’re dead (whether at the hands of their opponents, a teammate, or Waller herself). If anyone’s laying down bets, the smart money is against them—all of them.
