New Easter Egg Teases Renslayer & Kang’s Relationship

It’s a love/hate relationship.

The latest episode of Loki features a sharp easter egg that points towards Renslayer and Kang the Conquerer’s relationship.

While the chatter sorrounding the fourth episode of Loki is largely devoted to the shocks, turns, and revelations seen, the conversation should quickly turn to an easter egg that may just tease an interesting relationship in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ravonna Renslayer, one of the judges at the TVA – and one of Loki’s biggest critics – was seen this week in a flashback as a hunter. Each TVA Hunter has their own designated number, with Renslayer’s being A-23, an identification number that nods towards her love interest Kang the Conquerer.

During the flashback sequence, Renslayer’s identification number is briefly seen. Fans quickly realized that Avengers #23 is the first time Renslayer made her debut. Who else is in that comic? None other than her love interest (and sometimes enemy) Kang the Conquerer. Renslayer and Kang have a storied history in Marvel Comics, with the time-traveling villain head-over-heels in love with the judge, with the feeling not often reciprocated.

It has been reported that Kang the Conquerer actor Jonathan Majors is set to appear in Loki, though Majors has denied those rumors. Without getting into spoilers, the latest episode of Loki does end with a shocking revelation, which could potentially pave the way for a Kang cameo. Only time will if we’ll see Kang make his debut in Loki or Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, where he’ll be playing the main villain.
