New ‘What If…?’ Poster Spotlights Jeffrey Wright’s The Watcher

Jeffrey Wright’s The Watcher is front and center in the new poster for Marvel Studios’ What If…? released before the show debuts on Disney Plus.

In a few weeks, Disney Plus will launch the first of many animated shows from Marvel Studios with What If…? The series will put a new twist on the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it, with various alternate stories set to be told. Some of these episodes include Tony Stark being saved by Kilmonger, T’Challa as Star-Lord, Peggy Carter taking the Super Soldier Serum, and other exciting tales.

The Watcher will be at the center of it all and voiced by Westworld and The Batman star Jeffrey Wright. In anticipation of What If…? dropping on Disney Plus soon, Marvel Studios has shared a brand new poster offering a clear look at The Watcher, which you can see below.

What If…? has already been greenlit for a second season with the first consisting of ten episodes. The Marvel series was created by AC Bradley, who also executive produced the show with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum.

Here is the synopsis for Marvel Studios’ What If…?:

“Exploring pivotal moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and turning them on their head, leading the audience into uncharted territory.”

The upcoming animated series will feature the voices of Josh Brolin, Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, Chadwick Boseman, Jeffrey Wright, Hayley Atwell, Andy Serkis, and other major stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
