PlayStation State of Play July 2021 livestream date and time announced

Sony’s next episode of State of Play will stream on Thursday, July 8, and will offer a nine-minute look at Arkane Studios’ Deathloop for PlayStation 5, as well as “exciting indie and third-party titles,” according to an announcement on the PlayStation Blog.

The 30-minute show will stream at 5 p.m. EDT/2 p.m. PDT on July 8, and can be viewed on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

Thursday’s State of Play will not include updates on the new God of War, Horizon Forbidden West, or the next generation of PlayStation VR, Sony said. It promised “more updates soon” on those products “throughout the summer.”

Deathloop is coming to PlayStation 5 and Windows PC on Sept. 14. Developed by Arkane and published by Bethesda Softworks, the first-person shooter stars Colt, who can use supernatural abilities to teleport, telekinetically throw his enemies, turn invisible, and rewind time as he tries to unravel the mystery of his time-looping predicament. Sony’s most recent State of Play, from May, focused on Horizon Forbidden West, offering 14 minutes of gameplay captured on PS5.
