Set Photos Show First Look At Christian Bale’s Gorr

Set photos from Thor: Love and Thunder give us our first look at Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher.

The sequel to Ragnarok, Love and Thunder is set to explore Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster taking on the mantle of Thor, as well as Chris Hemsworth’s character dealing with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Amidst all the soul-searching and galaxy-traversing, Christian Bale is set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Gorr the God Butcher. Production on Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder came to a close back in the first week of June. It appears that production on the film has resumed for additional photography in Malibu, with set photos of Bale in the Gorr makeup making their way online.

The Daily Mail managed to snag the first look at Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher in costume and make-up. They aren’t the clearest of shots – one snap even shows a handler covering the actor with a black sheet – but they do provide a solid first look at the mysterious villain. Bale is completely unrecognizable as the porcelain-white alien, who appears to be covered in mounds of make-up and prosthetics.
