The NASCAR Cup Series is about to do something it hasn’t done in 65 years — race at Road America.
NASCAR held its one and only Cup Series race at the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, road course in 1956, and Cup cars haven’t been back until this weekend. But that doesn’t mean the 4.048-mile road course is unfamilar to NASCAR or even some of its drivers.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series has raced at Road America every year since 2010, and some current Cup drivers have not only navigated the circuit but excelled there. Reigning Daytona 500 winner Michael McDowell won the Road America Xfinity race in 2016, and Christopher Bell won the Xfinity race in 2019 before earning his first career Cup victory earlier this year on the Daytona International Speedway road course.

Here’s all the information you need to get ready for Sunday’s Jockey Made in America 250 at Road America:
START TIME: 2:30 p.m. ET. (1:30 p.m. local).
TV: NBC. Pre-race broadcast begins at 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m. local).
RADIO: Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
STREAMING: NBC Sports website (for those who sign in with their cable/satellite provider) and NBC Sports app.
RACE DISTANCE: 62 laps around the 4.048-mile road course for a total of 250.976 miles.
STAGE LENGTHS (laps per stage): Stage 1: 14, Stage 2: 15, Stage 3: 33.
QUALIFYING: The starting lineup will be set during qualifying on Sunday at 11 a.m. ET on CNBC and the NBC Sports app.
