Tom Brady, James Corden golf, belt out ‘Hamilton’ song ahead of ‘The Match’

Tom Brady is getting ready to participate in “The Match” on July 6, but perhaps he should be preparing for a Broadway audition.

As Brady took to the golf course for some pre-“Match” work with James Corden, the late-night talk show host asked Brady his thoughts on the musical “Hamilton.” Brady confirmed that he had seen the show live three times.

“Doesn’t everybody love it?” Brady asked.

Brady then demonstrated his fondness for it as Corden got him to perform a “Carpool Karaoke” segment where the two belted out the opening number from the musical in their golf cart. There were a couple of lyrical errors, but overall, the duet wasn’t too bad.

Brady acknowledged before the karaoke session that he wasn’t a fan of musical theater in his youth and told Corden he had disdain for his father’s taste in music.

“When I was a kid growing up — this is when we had CDs — you get in your dad’s car and you open up the CD book, right?” Brady said, “And I would listen to, like, hip-hop music and rock music, and you’d go into his car and it’s, like, show tunes. And I was like, ‘You know what, dad? When I’m older I’m never going to listen show tunes in the car.’ And now it’s like, literally, you put it on and you hear the kids are singing.”

Safe to say that if young Brady could see this, he’d be hanging his head in shame.

But hey, at least he’d be proud of his seven Super Bowl rings.
