Tom Brady takes jab at Aaron Rodgers’ Packers drama during The Match

Aaron Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau may have won The Match 2021 over Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson on Tuesday, but the defending Super Bowl MVP at least landed a couple shots on his quarterback counterpart.

During The Match 2021, Brady decided to partake in a little trash talk with Rodgers, choosing the storyline that has dominated the NFL news cycle since the end of the 2021 NFC championship game: Rodgers’ fraught relationship with the Packers.

Brady took that opportunity during an in-match call with Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski, saying he was studying his competition: “The leader of the Packers . . . I think.”

Rodgers still has yet to appear for any team activities, even as the NFL calendar moves closer to the start of training camp. With Rodgers’ future uncertain in Green Bay, Brady couldn’t help but pile on to the situation.

This isn’t the first time Brady has taken shots at Rodgers, either. He trolled him several times before the start of The Match with “go for it” jokes — referring to Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur’s decision in the NFC title game to kick a field goal against Tampa Bay instead of trying for a potential game-tying touchdown on fourth-and-goal with 2:05 to play.
