Willem Dafoe Dodges Question About Upcoming Projects

Willem Dafoe playfully dodged a question that implied he’s starring in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home.

It appears all but certain that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home will introduce a live-action Spider-Verse. While it hasn’t been confirmed by any means, substantial rumors claim that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be reprising their roles as their respective Peter Parkers, with their villains also joining in on the multiverse fun. Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin are all expected to return for the third film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man series. Unfortunately, everyone outside of Molina continues to remain coy regarding the Sony/Marvel production.

In a recent interview with Collider, Willem Dafoe was asked which projects he filmed this year. Dafoe chose his words very carefully, saying that he’d rather wait to talk about his upcoming projects when they’re ready to be revealed. Many might think that Dafoe is actually implying a role in Aquaman 2, but filming on the DC sequel hasn’t started as of yet.

“The other things that I’ve been doing lately? I’d prefer to wait until we’re ready for them to come out.”
