FDNY truck collides with vehicle in Brooklyn, injures 10

An FDNY truck collided with a vehicle Friday afternoon while responding to a fire in Brooklyn, leaving two Bravest and eight others injured, officials said.

FDNY Ladder truck 104 collided with a blue Chrysler minivan packed with 8 Hasidic occupants (6 kids and 2 adults) at the intersection of Driggs avenue and South 5th street in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
The crash happened just before 3 p.m. in Brooklyn.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. in Williamsburg on South 5th Street, where firefighters with Ladder 104 were heading to a structural blaze, FDNY officials said.

A pair of firefighters and eight civilians were taken to area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
