A Las Vegas woman has shared terrifying doorbell cam video that captured a stranger threatening to “rape and kidnap” her as she hid inside her house.
Amanda Nowak was home alone Wednesday evening when the heavily bearded creep knocked on her door and said, “I just have a couple of questions for you,” the Ring video shows.
“Are you sure? Are you positive?” the guy bizarrely continued, even though Nowak wasn’t answering him.
She said she never responded and called 911, KLAS reported.
Nowak’s husband, who was away, reportedly accessed the intercom system at one point and asked the man who he was.
“What I’m looking for is the girl in the house ’cause I’m going to rape her and kill her. Can you have her open the door?” the man answered, adding that he had a gun and knife.
Moments later, he walked away from the residence.
Meanwhile, the 911 operator remained on the line with the woman as police responded to her house.
The next morning, a person who noticed the alarming footage posted on social media recognized the suspect and alerted a nearby deputy city marshal, FOX5 reported.
Police arrested the suspect, who has been charged with aggravated stalking, coercion and obstructing a public officer, according to the outlet. He has not been named.
“HE IS IN CUSTODY!” Nowak wrote on Facebook.
Earlier, she described the frightening incident on the site.
“So this happened tonight… pretty scary! I was home alone. You’ll hear my husband jump on The Ring after a bit, he wasn’t here… I was hiding where this guy couldn’t see me and I never said a word.. that whole beginning he’s just talking to himself,” she wrote.
“Police were called, the lady from 911 stayed on the line until cop got here. File was reported and I showed him the video. Searching for him.. enough to arrest if they find him. Hubby is home now. Lock your doors friends!!” she added.
Nowak cited the strong “power of community” in social media.
“Thank you everyone! I’m just glad he’s off the streets, and can’t harm anyone else,” she added.
