Biden’s sister signs book deal for undisclosed amount

President Biden’s sister and longtime confidant, Valerie Biden Owens, has inked a book deal, according to a new report — but the financial terms of the deal are being kept under wraps.

“Growing Up Biden” will be published by Celadon Books on April 12, the Associated Press reported

In it, Owens, 75, will write about her childhood as the only girl among the Biden siblings and her “trailblazing, decades-long professional relationship” with the president.

Biden’s sister managed her brother’s 1972 US Senate run in Delaware and his unsuccessful presidential campaigns in 1988 and 2008.

She was a top adviser to his recent presidential run.

“Valerie Biden was the cornerstone that allowed me to sustain and then rebuild my family,” the president wrote in his 2007 book, “Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics.”

Financial terms were undisclosed, the report said.

The Biden Campaign

Celadon Books in 2017 released Joe Biden’s “Promise Me, Dad,” about his son Beau Biden, who died of brain cancer in 2015.

“Our family’s story is a very American one — full of joy but also shadowed by tragedy,” Owens said in a statement.

“What we Bidens learned long ago is a timeless lesson: that family matters, possibility can emerge from pain, and the ties that bind us together are stronger than anything that might pull us apart. So this will be a story of one family — but our story, I hope, will resonate and inspire,” she said.
