  • If you are an Employ Representative and you select “Yes, you need to provide the UIA employer account number and zip code of your business address.
  • And, if you select “No,” you must answer the question about whether you have a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN). Then, you have to provide the UIA employer account number with the zip code of the address.
  • When you have UAI numbers from neither Michigan Unemployment Taxes nor FEIN, then you must provide your Social Security Number along with a UIA employer account number and zip code of the physical business location of one of your clients.
  • You can select Employee only when you have been added by either employer representative or employee to their web account. In this case, you need to provide the authorization code you had received in the email when they had added you as an employee.
  • In the next step, you need to enter User Information. Information of the person who uses MiWAM account for the business.
  • Now click security agreement and other terms and conditions.
  • Once all is done, a confirmation page will appear on the screen with the confirmation number and username. Select Ok

Now you will have temporary access to the MiWAM account. You can submit Form UIA 1028 and make reimbursement payments or tax payments via your MiWAIM account for the next ten working days.

Within a week, an authorization code will be sent to the address you have provided with the UIA account number. You can enter the authorization code once you receive it when logging into your MiWAm account. Now you will have full access to all services that can be accessed within MiWAM.
